This was also the first hill station we visited together. we were overloaded with the best memories of our lives. We always cherish the memories we created there and also the charm of that place. Our eyes and mind were stuck on to the beauty all around us, the bloom of tea gardens, the morning foggy view of the hills and the amazing greenery.

Munnar is like a jewel in the western ghats of God’s Own Country. It’s like a lovely tressure trove for the visitors and enhancing view of the hills. Munnar is the place, can bring peace and lovely memories in someone’s life. Being a hill station there are so many amazing places to visit in Munnar like experiencing the new culture to the tea gardens, hilly views to huge rivers. It’s a complete bliss of nature. It takes generally 2-4 days to explore Munnar completely.
Places To Visit In Munnar:-
There are so many amazing places to experience in Munnar. Romantic Views for couples to fun activities for KIds. Its a place both for couples and families too. The following are the places you can visit in Munnar.
Kerala Ayurvedic, Herbal And Spice Garden:- It was the first place we visited in Munnar while entering the town after we left Kochi behind with all memories of it in our mind for a lifetime. When it comes to Ayurveda than Kerala is the place as it is one of the main places of Ayurvedic medicines.
Our visit to this herbal and spice garden was so nice as we get so much information about the spices and their values for a healthy life. Its a quite big and dense garden with so many big and small plants all around. There are guides available who give you a complete tour of the garden and they explain the medicinal properties of the plants available there. Here are some images of the spice garden and also the ayurvedic medicine outlets.
We bought so many ayurvedic medicines from there with amazing results and also bought Shea butter moisturizer and it was so smooth and silky. It seems so pure with a soothing fragrance. While buying the medicine we seen there was a shop of homemade chocolates where you can also see how they prepare chocolates. We bought different types of chocolates for us and our experience with these chocolates was so amazing as they were so tasty and finger-licking.
Tea Garden In Munnar:- “Tea” or “Chai” the most used beverage all around the world and mostly used in India and China. There is a great history related to tea gardens in Munnar and it is also a synonym of Tea Plantation. It is a place known for its beautiful tea gardens and its cultivations. Also, we suggest never return home without taking the purity of place and essence of natural tea.
Kalari Kshethra:- People call it a temple of Kerala Tradition where you can see the little bit about their tradition. There are two shows you will see one is a Kathakali show and the other one is KalariPayattu. Both shows are of One hour each, Kathakali show starts from 5-6 pm and kalaripayattu from 6-7 pm. It was within walking distance of our hotel.
KalariPayattu is a form of Indian traditional martial arts and also known as the mother of all martial arts. Its an amazing show and you also get acknowledged about the Indian traditions. The martial arts they perform just bring goosebumps in the body, it’s just so amazing. I suggest you reach as early as possible and make sure you get the front seat. KFDC Floriculture Centre:- People commonly call it as a Rose Garden or Flower Garden. It is the attraction of Munnar and people love to experience the varieties and different families of flowers. This place has an immense beauty of nature. People who have an interest in photography get amazing snaps there. People can have their own photographs clicked by some of the photographers available at that place.
It is a huge flower garden with all varieties of flowers from all around the world. It’s a lovely treat for eyes, as it will amaze yours definitely. To reach this place from the mid of Munnar it takes around 15- 20 mins. It took around 15 mins. from the hotel, we stayed in Munnar.

Mattupetty Dam:- Mattupetty dam is the best place to visit in Munnar. It is the concrete gravity dam and also the power source of power yielding along with other dams of the district.
It is been nested in the green valley of Munnar. This dam gives the wonderous experience to the visitors, also gives them the chance to feel the freshness and Calmness of nature. It is 13km away from Munnar and comes in the way while heading to the KDFC Floriculture Garden.
The main highlights of the place are the amazing flowing water with grasslands all around. Also when you step down, there is amazing beauty that pleases your mind completely. There you can do boating also like a motorboat or pedal boat.
Behind that river, there is a dense jungle with an amazing green view all around. When we visited, there were rain showers a little bit which makes that view more loving and pleasing.
Dreamland Fun And Adventure Park Munnar:- This is the last place we visited in Munnar. Last but not least. It was such a phenomenal place full of adventure activities and I can bet on this that you are going to love the place also if you are visiting with your kids they will have great fun.
It will surely bring adrenaline rush in your body and will take you in your childhood.

Opens Monday:- Saturday From 9 AM – 6 PM
Fees in 2018:- 1000 per person so rates may differ but this place is worth every penny.
Things To Do In Adventure Park:- They are so many fun activities to do there like water roller, Trampolin, Horse Riding, Free Fall, Hunting Game and so many other fun activities. It takes an entire day to explore this place completely and experience all the adventures.
